Superior 110
River North, a neighborhood known for its art galleries and trendy restaurants, will soon be home to a new 27-story Chicago luxury condo high rise. Superior 110, by JFJ Development Company, will have 62 units ranging from 1150 to 2829 square feet. One to three bedrooms with 1.5 to 3.5 baths are available. Prices range from $480,000 to over $2 million for a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath penthouse. Heated garage parking is available beginning at $36,000 per space. The building will also feature a 24 hour doorperson, a fitness center, floor-to-ceiling windows, a business lounge with wireless access, high speed elevators, and panoramic city views. Units begin on the seventh floor of the building. Each unit has continuous corner views due to the developer’s limitation of four two bedroom units per floor. A welcome feature of the building is the incorporated green space and a park on the rooftop of the seventh floor.
Each unit has many options for customization. The building offers 9.5 foot ceilings in living areas as well as hardwood flooring. The owner is able to choose the floor stain for the oak floors. Additionally, the residence comes with a $3500 allowance towards a GE Smarthome System and a $2500 credit towards a custom designed closet. In some units, the owners can even choose up to six custom paint colors. Units are wired for high-speed data transmittal, the bedrooms are wired for speakers, and a 42-inch plasma TV in the living room with surround sound is included, according to Superior 110’s website. GE Profile washer and dryers are included and on floors 7 and 20 through 27, these appliances are upgraded to Maytag. Each unit has a security system and individually controlled heating and cooling.
Kitchens feature Snaidero cabinetry and a “gourmet appliance package.” The appliance package consists of a Sub-Zero stainless steel refrigerator, a Wolf stainless range and hood, a Bosch dishwasher and a Dacor microwave or microhood. Kitchen counters are 1.25 inch stone slab with a Roku glass tile backsplash. The stainless steel sink is undermounted with a Grohe pullout spray faucet, allowing for easy cleaning. Pendants from Chicago’s prominent light fixture store Lightology illuminate the preparation island.
The bathrooms at Superior 110 also feature Snaidero cabinetry and lighting from Lightology. Other points of interest include a frameless glass shower door, Grohe shower heads, and stone slab countertops. The vanity is double-bowl. Toto toilets and Kohler sinks are standard. The Master bath includes an oversized shower and whirlpool tub. If the floor plan includes a second bath, a 5 foot soaking tub or whirlpool tub is installed in the guest bath. |
